The Espro Dillinger Tamper is made of vacuum hardened stainless steel with an extra diamond coating. This tamper is about 5 times harder than a normal tamper. The hardness level of the Dillinger tamper is off the scale literally. The tamper is off the Rockwell hardness scale, a measurement scale used by engineers to determine the hardness of something. If a burglar broke into our home at night, we hope that the Dillinger was near, considering we don't golf or collect lethal weapons.
Normal tampers are made of unhardened stainless steel, and are easily scratched and dented. The Dillinger Tamper from Espro is the toughest we've used.
